HAC's Sleep-a-Thon in the Park
For the fifth consecutive northern winter, over 100 citizens, church parishioners, and the odd government official, will spend the night out in a park near the State House to raise money for "Our House," the SRO operated by the HAC for homeless chronic alcoholics in Albany (NY). Last year's event raised $10,000. Contact poet/photographer Dan Wilcox for details on how to sponsor or on where to stretch out yourself. (wilcox23@juno.com) Checks can also be sent directly to Homeless Action Committee at 393 North Pearl Street, Albany NY 12207.
